About a week or two ago, we decided to revive an old Han Yang tradition – “Keith Innes Sundays.”

I wish I could join for this great Sunday tradition. It started when Keith and I would meet on Sunday afternoons as we both lived in Hannam Dong. After a few Sundays we started inviting other brethren to join us. To our pleasant surprise a number of brethren and their significant others joined us for a casual, fun afternoon. At times it became quite popular but no matter how many came, Keith and I would meet (at least) on a Sunday during the month. Keith was the Lodge Secretary at the time and did so much to resurrect the Lodge at a time when it was close to going dark. So when he departed Korea I continued to meet folks but to memorialize all that he has done and the great brother he was to us I started calling it “Keith Innes Sundays”. That is the story of the “Keith Innes Sundays.” I am glad you resurrected the tradition and hope you have a great afternoon. BTW. Ernst was one of the first to join us!

The afternoon started off at Craftworks Taphouse & Bistro, a local favorite in Itaewon for some of the brothers.

Craftworks has a fine selection of microbrew. We sampled the Pilsener, Indian Pale Ale, and Dark Ale (a favorite among the brothers).

We even managed to sell some raffle tickets for our summer charity. We’re raising money for an orphanage in Vietnam.

After enjoying brunch at Craftworks, we mosied on over to Burn – another great place the brothers have harmony at.

I really like Hal, the owner of Burn. He’s such a nice guy (maybe too nice!). I heard that he’s thinking of joining the lodge..

One of the nice things about Burn is that you can buy a bottle at a time, leave it there, drink it whenever and even have a personalized tag for it.

But of course, what’s a visit to Burn without some nice cigars.

We even played a few rounds of the dice game. I actually won a round for the first time ever! We donated the American dollars to the orphanage in Vietnam.

And the book we signed is still there! It hasn’t gotten stolen yet! Make sure to take a look if you’re ever on Kyungridan Road.

All in all, a great time had by everyone. Can’t wait for the next “Keith Innes Sunday!”
